Israir has received government approval to operate nonstop flights between Tel Aviv and New York, making it the third Israeli airline on the route, alongside El Al and Arkia.
The airline plans to launch service by Passover 2026, with up to six weekly round-trip flights. The move aims to boost competition, lower prices, and improve service and comes after Arkia’s February 2025 entry on the route.
The Israel–U.S. air corridor will now include five airlines: El Al, Arkia, Israir, United Airlines (resuming service), and potentially Delta Air Lines (efforts underway to return).
Transportation Minister Miri Regev called the development a major step in expanding travel options between Israel and the U.S.
