IAG Group has confirmed that its low-cost subsidiary Vueling will receive all 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft it ordered in 2022. The order includes 25 MAX 8-200s and 25 MAX 10s, with deliveries starting in late 2026.
This marks a shift for Vueling, which currently operates an all-Airbus fleet of 143 A320 family jets.
The move reflects IAG’s strategy to expand Vueling’s high-density, low-cost operations—mirroring rivals like Ryanair—rather than allocating the jets to British Airways as some had anticipated.
