During the summer season 2016, Vueling will offer 42,000 additional seats on its flights from Brussels to 11 Mediterranean destinations. In particular, the number of seats available to Alicante, Barcelona and Porto will be significantly increased.
This summer Vueling will offer 11 sunny destinations from Brussels. With an increased number of seats and the countless possible connections through its two Mediterranean hubs (Barcelona El Prat and Rome Fiumicino), it will be even easier to board to the sun this summer. Vueling will indeed once again increase its capacity by 5%, after a growth of 5% in the summer 2015 and 104% in 2014 when the company had launched seven new routes from Brussels and made Brussels a base for its A320 aircraft.
During the summer season between March and October 2016, Vueling will offer a total of 762,476 seats from Brussels.
Net capacity increase to Alicante, Barcelona and Porto
The number of seats available to Alicante is clearly increasing with 14%. The routes to Barcelona and Porto will also be intensified, with 8% seats in more than during the summer season 2015.

Alicante, Malaga and our hub ‘home’ Barcelona are the most popular destinations from Brussels. Porto and Lisbon also continue to know high demand. This summer we also inaugurate the first Vueling flights to Barcelona from Eindhoven and Maastricht-Aachen. With these two new airports of departure, our Belgian passengers will have even more choice and flexibility for prices and dates of travel.
More flexibility when booking through the new “Passenger Waiting” service
Vueling has recently launched the “Passenger Waiting” service, allowing customers to make reservations without some of the people accompanying them during the journey. They can thus enjoy the limited offers and get the best price. The lead passenger will have 72 hours to submit the names of accompanying passengers. The service can be used on all Vueling destinations, its cost is 2 euros per passenger waiting, added to the final fare. The option appears during the purchase process on www.vueling.com site.
