Vueling apologises for the many cancellations and delays of last week

Vueling senior management has met with the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Ministry of Development to explain the measures implemented to improve its operations and customer service.

Vueling wants to apologize once again to everyone affected by the cancellations and the delays in the past few days. Passengers are the top priority of the company and both employees and members of the Executive Committee are focusing all efforts on solving the problems.

The company´s operations have improved during the day, thanks to additional measures that were implemented.

Members of Vueling´s Executive Committee have held two meetings this afternoon with representatives of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Ministry of Development to explain the measures that the airline is taking in order to re-establish its normal operations.

Vueling´s  Chairman, Javier Sanchez-Prieto, reiterated the apology to passengers affected: “I want to apologize to our customers for delays and cancellations during the last few days. All employees are focused on correcting the situation.” Sanchez-Prieto acknowledged that “there have been failures within our operations” but we are “putting in place more resources and more means so this situation will not happen again.
