Barcelona-based airline LEVEL will increase winter capacity by 51% for the 2025/26 season, offering over 400,000 seats and marking its largest-ever winter schedule. Growth will be led by a 64% capacity boost in North America, with standout increases on the New York (JFK) route, which will more than double service.

In South America, LEVEL will operate up to 11–12 weekly flights to Buenos Aires, reaching a record frequency, and expand Santiago de Chile service to five weekly flights during peak months.

With these moves, LEVEL solidifies its position as the leading long-haul airline at Barcelona El Prat Airport, commanding 18% of long-haul seat share overall and 29% on North Atlantic routes.

  1. In comparison with its opposition LEVEL is proving to be a very slow moving airline. It is OK to be “careful” with any expansion but it is at the risk of being left behind – i.e. not achieving the number of destinations, nor the seats available to make the airline really attractive to fly with.
To suggest two routes which seem logical. 1) Barcelona to Mexico City (Iberia runs three daily flights from Madrid) so one per day from Barce. must be on the cards. 2) As an additional route to Mexico a leisure flight to Cancun at initially 2 (fpw) but rising with demand to 4 or 5 (fpw) over time. Even different departure points from Europe can be added as sees fit.
