Iberia has inaugurated its new nonstop service between Madrid and Orlando, becoming the only airline to offer direct flights between Spain and the Florida city. The inaugural flight departed Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport at 11:30 on 26 October, bound for Orlando International Airport (MCO) with 272 passengers aboard.
The service will operate four times per week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—using Airbus A330 aircraft with 254 seats across Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. Iberia will offer over 46,000 seats on the route during the winter 2025/26 season.
Orlando, known globally as the home of Walt Disney World, is also a major MICE tourism hub, with the Orange County Convention Center hosting hundreds of international events annually. Iberia’s new connection supports both leisure and business travel while enhancing Madrid’s role as a transatlantic gateway.
“This launch marks another step in Iberia’s growth strategy in the U.S., reinforcing our position as the leading airline connecting Spain and North America,” said Beatriz Guillén, Iberia’s Customers Director.
With Orlando, Iberia now serves ten U.S. destinations—including New York, Miami, Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Juan, San Francisco, and Orlando—offering nearly 2 million seats and 150 weekly flights between Spain and the U.S. in 2025.
