This morning, dozens of British Airways flights into the United Kingdom have been delayed or cancelled over technical issues, the airline confirmed on social media. Some passengers were forced to stay a night over in hotels, other passengers were rebooked on other flights.
A British Airways spokesman said that the airline faced an issue with the flight plans, with delays of up to three hours causing a knock-on effect onto the next flights.
It’s not the first IT-issue at the British airline this year as in August, the airline experienced issues with check-in systems.
