British Airways is set to expand its US network with a new direct service between London Heathrow and St. Louis, Missouri, launching 19 April 2026. The route makes the carrier the only UK airline offering non-stop flights to the “Gateway to the West,” marking its 27th US destination.
The four-weekly service will operate throughout the summer season, with return fares starting from £529. The launch coincides with the 100th anniversary of Route 66, the legendary highway that passes through St. Louis, offering travellers a convenient starting point for classic American road trips.
“St. Louis is a fantastic addition to our US network,” said Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer. “It’s a destination with a rich history and vibrant cultural scene, as well as a gateway to exciting destinations beyond this. As the only direct route from the UK, this service will open up new opportunities for our customers and strengthen ties between the UK and the US Midwest.”
Passengers can choose from three cabin classes—World Traveller, World Traveller Plus and Club World—with selected flights offering the airline’s Club Suite, featuring direct aisle access, fully flat beds and enhanced dining.
St. Louis is known for its Gateway Arch, expansive green spaces such as Forest Park, free museums, a thriving food and music scene, and a proud sports tradition. The service will also integrate with the Atlantic Joint Business (American Airlines, Iberia, Finnair, Aer Lingus and LEVEL), offering smooth connections and competitive fares across North America and Europe.
The new route comes as British Airways ramps up transatlantic capacity for Summer 2026, including increased frequencies to Miami, San Diego, Austin, Las Vegas and Dallas–Fort Worth, alongside nine daily services to New York JFK.
