British Airways adds Rabat, Graz, and expanded Madrid service to short-haul network

Share

British Airways is boosting its short-haul network with the launch of new routes to Rabat in Morocco and Graz in Austria, as well as expanded service to Madrid from London City Airport. The additions bring the airline’s total number of short-haul destinations to 130.

Starting this winter season, BA Euroflyer, the airline’s Gatwick-based subsidiary, will introduce:

  • Twice-weekly flights to Rabat (Wednesdays and Sundays), beginning 5 November 2025.

  • Three weekly flights to Graz (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays), launching 21 November 2025.

Fares start at £70 to Rabat and £60 to Graz, one-way, including taxes and fees. Both routes will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft and offer Club Europe business class, with access to BA’s newly refurbished Gatwick lounge.

Rabat becomes British Airways’ third Moroccan destination, joining Marrakech and Agadir, amid surging UK–Morocco travel demand. The capital city offers year-round sun and a mix of modern flair and traditional charm.

Graz marks BA’s fourth Austrian destination and is the only direct link between the city and London. Known for its vibrant cultural scene and festive Christmas markets, Graz is expected to gain attention ahead of Austria’s hosting of the next Eurovision Song Contest.

Meanwhile, BA Cityflyer will enhance connectivity to Spain by launching 11 weekly flights from London City to Madrid starting 1 December 2025. This complements existing Heathrow services and brings the total weekly frequency to 44. The new route is strategically timed to facilitate onward connections to South American cities such as Bogotá, Montevideo, and Lima.

British Airways says the expanded schedule offers travellers greater flexibility and access to new leisure and business opportunities across Europe and beyond. All services are now available for booking.
