A BA Euroflyer flight from London Gatwick to Faro returned to its departure airport on Tuesday, 13 October, following a technical issue reportedly involving a cracked passenger window.

Flight BA2660, operated by an Airbus A321-231 registered G-EUXD, turned back after passing Brittany, around an hour into its journey. Flight-tracking service AirNav Radar reported that the crew declared an emergency while assessing the window issue and considering where to divert.

British Airways confirmed that the aircraft landed safely at Gatwick following a “minor technical issue”, but did not confirm the reported window damage.

The airline apologised to passengers for the delay and said its teams were working to restore their travel plans.
