Aer Lingus has inaugurated a new direct service between Dublin and Raleigh-Durham International Airport, operating up to five times weekly using Airbus A321XLR aircraft.
The route strengthens transatlantic connectivity, linking Ireland with North Carolina’s Research Triangle—a major hub for technology, research, and higher education—and providing onward connections to over 20 destinations across the UK and Europe via Dublin.
The launch also supports travel demand for the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in August 2026, when teams from the University of North Carolina and TCU will play in Dublin.
The new service is part of Aer Lingus’ broader North American expansion strategy, with a Pittsburgh route set to follow, bringing its total transatlantic network from Ireland to 24 destinations.
