Aer Lingus launches new direct Dublin–Barbados service on Airbus A321XLR

Share

Aer Lingus will begin a new direct route between Dublin (DUB) and Bridgetown (BGI) on 31 March 2026, operating three times weekly (Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays) through 31 May 2026. The service will be flown using the fuel-efficient Airbus A321XLR.

Flights depart Dublin at 13:50, arriving in Bridgetown at 18:00 local time, with the return leg leaving Barbados at 19:30 and landing in Dublin at 08:40 the next morning. Fares start from €229 one-way, including taxes and fees.

The launch marks a milestone in Barbados–Ireland connectivity, strengthening leisure, business, and diaspora travel links. Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. highlighted the route’s potential to attract Irish visitors for festivals, cultural experiences, and winter sun, while the A321XLR’s improved fuel efficiency supports sustainable travel.

This direct connection builds on growing diplomatic and cultural ties, following the opening of a resident Barbadian embassy in Dublin in 2024, and positions Barbados as a premier Caribbean destination for Irish travellers.
