IndiGo has launched non-stop flights between Mumbai and Athens, becoming the first Indian airline to operate scheduled direct services to Greece. The new route marks IndiGo’s entry into narrow-body long-haul operations, using India’s first Airbus A321XLR.
The airline will also begin non-stop flights between Delhi and Athens on 24 January 2026, with three weekly frequencies on each route. The services provide direct connectivity between Greece and India’s two largest cities, with onward connections across IndiGo’s extensive domestic and Asian network.
IndiGo said the Athens launch is the first step in a broader Greece strategy, with additional Greek destinations planned as the airline expands its long-haul footprint using the A321XLR.
