IndiGo has announced temporary adjustments to its wide-body long-haul network to improve operational resilience and on-time performance, citing ongoing airspace restrictions, airport congestion and extended flight times affecting its six Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
From 17 February 2026, IndiGo will suspend services to Copenhagen until further notice. The airline will also scale back flights between Delhi and Manchester, reducing frequencies in stages to three weekly services by 19 February, bringing total Manchester connectivity down from nine to seven weekly flights when combined with Mumbai services. In addition, Delhi–London Heathrow flights will be reduced from five to four weekly services from 9 February for the remainder of the winter schedule.
The changes, originally planned for summer 2026, have been brought forward to avoid delays and missed connections across the long-haul network. IndiGo said it is proactively contacting affected passengers to offer rebooking, refunds and compensation where applicable.
The airline reiterated that its current wide-body operations are an interim step under a damp-lease arrangement with Norse Atlantic Airways, ahead of the introduction of its own Airbus A350-900 fleet from early 2028. IndiGo said it will continue to monitor geopolitical and operational conditions and adjust its long-haul network as needed to maintain reliability.
