Icelandair has signed lease agreements with CALC for two new Airbus A321LR aircraft, to be delivered in the winter of 2026/27. The deal marks the start of a new partnership with CALC and supports Icelandair’s ongoing fleet renewal from Boeing 757s to Airbus A321LRs.
The A321LRs offer longer range, better fuel efficiency, and lower emissions, while enhancing passenger comfort with Airbus’ Airspace cabin design.
CEO Bogi Nils Bogason said the additions strengthen Icelandair’s modernisation strategy, sustainability goals, and global route network.
