Icelandair will launch its first-ever service to Poland with the introduction of a new route between Keflavík and Gdansk, starting on 18 September 2026. The service will operate three to four times weekly using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The new route opens a direct link between Poland and Iceland, serving strong demand from the Polish community in Iceland while also offering Icelandic and North American travellers easy access to Gdansk’s cultural and historic attractions. Via Icelandair’s Keflavík hub, passengers from Gdansk will gain convenient onward connections to multiple North American destinations.
The Gdansk service forms part of Icelandair’s wider network expansion. The airline also announced an extension of its Geneva route, which will now operate twice weekly throughout the winter season from 19 December 2026 to Easter 2027. Customers on transatlantic journeys will continue to benefit from Icelandair’s stopover programme, allowing stays in Iceland of up to seven days at no additional airfare.
