From 22 September, British Airways will cancel its London Heathrow to Tehran, Iran route as being “not commercially viable”. Only two years ago the airline proudly announced the startup of six weekly flights. Passengers will be rebooked on Qatar Airways via Doha.

In July, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines already decided to suspend its direct flights between Amsterdam and Tehran as of 24 September. Air France subsidiary Joon will end Paris CDG – Tehran from 18 September.
