Hong Kong Airlines accidentally issued business class fares between USA and Asia for $600 on their web site, a bargain if you compare the regular business class fares on long-haul flights. The airline, however, decided not to cancel those cheap fares but to grant them. George Liu, chief marketing officer for Hong Kong Airlines tweeted: “We really screwed up, but we have decided to honour the tickets at our own cost. We are willing to pay a price to keep our promises as a brand.

Perhaps a few people will get to travel on our new business class product being introduced in September to Los Angeles,” the airline added on social media.

Hong Kong Airlines has a fleet of 36 Airbus-aircraft and flies around with brand new Airbus A350-900. Too bad that Aviation24.be couldn’t book one of those cheap tickets for a nice trip report 😉
