Airlineroute discovered that the airline requested traffic rights between the two airports.
The Chinese airline, the fourth-largest airline in terms of fleet size in the People’s Republic of China, will most likely deploy Airbus A330 or Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the route.
If the airline goes ahead with the startup, it will be the third destination between China and Belgium for Hainan Airlines, after Beijing (4 weekly) and Shanghai (3 weekly).
Hainan also intends to launch flights between Shenzhen and Dublin from June 2018.
Update 08:00 14/10/2017 in my article I didn’t mention that the airline has requested traffic rights only and didn’t request actual slots. Anyway the airline is eyeing an opening of the route.
