Gulf Air announced the launch of direct flights to New York’s JFK Airport starting October 1, 2025, marking its return to the North American market. The service, unveiled during the official U.S. visit of Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, will operate three times weekly using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
Initially departing from JFK’s Terminal One, Gulf Air plans to move operations to the new Terminal One in June 2026, offering a modernised, premium travel experience. The expansion supports Bahrain’s connectivity strategy and Gulf Air’s goal of targeted international growth.
