At a time when many airlines go belly up, Danish aviation will welcome a new player this summer when Great Dane Airlines makes its debut on the runways in June.
The airline, which will be based out of Aalborg (AAL), will operate two 118-seater Embraer 195 aircraft as part of its business model.
The airline has already pinpointed an opening in the market for scheduled flights from Aalborg to Dublin (one weekly flight), Edinburgh (three weekly flights) and Nice (one weekly flight).
The airline also will cater to the charter market with the following routes:
- From Aalborg to Palma de Mallorca, Rhodes and Chania
- From Billund to Palma de Mallorca, Rhodes, Chania and Varna
- From Copenhagen to Palma de Mallorca, Rhodes, Chania and Varna
