At the Farnborough Airshow, Embraer announced that Japan’s Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) has placed a firm order for two additional E175 regional jets, with the order already included in the manufacturer’s backlog.
The new aircraft, configured with 84 seats in a single-class layout, are scheduled for delivery in 2027 and 2028. They will expand FDA’s existing all-Embraer fleet, which currently comprises 15 aircraft: two E170s and thirteen E175s.
FDA said the additional aircraft will increase capacity and support the continued development of its regional network connecting communities across Japan. Embraer highlighted the E175’s strong performance on high-frequency, short-haul routes and praised the airline’s operational excellence.
Fuji Dream Airlines has operated Embraer E-Jets since its launch in 2009 and is consistently recognised in Japan for its punctuality and reliability. The airline’s fleet has achieved a 12-month average schedule reliability of more than 99.8%, underlining the type’s operational performance and maintenance standards.
