flydubai is strengthening its presence in the Italian market by increasing frequencies to Naples and Milan-Bergamo, responding to growing travel demand and further enhancing connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and Italy.

The Dubai-based carrier has increased its Dubai–Naples service to daily flights from 27 July, while services to Milan-Bergamo will increase to twice daily from 31 July for the winter season.

Due to planned maintenance work at Naples International Airport, flydubai will temporarily operate its daily service to Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport between 1 and 30 November 2026. Flights will return to Naples on 1 December, with passengers holding existing bookings automatically rebooked onto the Salerno service to minimise disruption.

Following the expansion, flydubai’s Italian network will comprise:

  • Twice-daily flights to Milan-Bergamo;
  • Daily flights to Naples (temporarily Salerno during November);
  • Three weekly flights to Catania; and
  • Twice-weekly seasonal flights to Olbia until the end of August.

Chief Executive Officer Ghaith Al Ghaith said Naples and Milan have become important gateways within the airline’s European network and that the increased frequencies underline flydubai’s long-term commitment to strengthening tourism, business and trade links between Italy and the UAE.

Jeyhun Efendi, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce, added that the expanded schedule will also improve onward connectivity through Dubai to destinations across the combined flydubai and Emirates networks, including Kenya, Oman, the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Zanzibar.

The Italy expansion follows several recent additions to flydubai’s route network, including services to Aleppo, Bangkok and Benghazi, while flights to Pokhara, Nepal, are scheduled to begin on 23 September 2026.

The Italian routes are operated under the flydubai–Emirates codeshare partnership, offering passengers through-ticketing, coordinated connections and through-checked baggage. Flights are operated by flydubai’s Boeing 737 fleet, with Business Class lie-flat seats, complimentary inflight entertainment and, in the near future, Starlink high-speed internet connectivity across the fleet.
