First flight from Kinshasa to Dubai (via Entebbe) started with flyDubai

flydubai has become the first UAE carrier to operate flights to N’djili Airport (also known as Kinshasa International Airport) and provide links from the UAE and the region to a new gateway in Central Africa.

Thus, the flydubai network in Africa is growing at 13 destinations in 10 countries.

The inaugural flight landed in Kinshasa at 14:20 local time, the delegation on board being headed by Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President flydubai Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Indian Subcontinent & Africa).

The new route is operated daily with a Boeing 737-800 in codeshare with Emirates, with Business and Economy class.

In less than 10 years, flydubai has increased its African network and now offers flights to Addis Ababa, Alexandria, Asmara, Djibouti, Entebbe, Hargeisa, Juba, Khartoum, Port Sudan, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar.

Kinshasa is one of the largest cities in Africa and a busy hub providing extensive connections to cities across the African continent and intercontinental services to Europe. The country is known for its vast natural resource wealth; it is the world’s largest producer of cobalt and a major producer of copper and diamonds.
