Flights at Malmö Airport were temporarily suspended on Tuesday evening after a small cargo aircraft encountered problems while landing and remained on the runway.
Operations resumed normally shortly before 20:00 after the aircraft had been moved. Swedavia said there were no injuries and no damage to airport infrastructure.
The aircraft was a Fairchild SA227-BC Metro III operated by the Spanish cargo carrier Flightline, registration EC-GJM.
It was operating flight FTL323 from Tampere, Finland, to Malmö on 15 September when it suffered a runway excursion while landing on Malmö Airport’s Runway 17. The turboprop came to rest off the runway, forcing the airport to suspend operations until it could be removed. No injuries or airport infrastructure damage were reported.
