Finnair continued its strong recovery in June 2026, carrying 1.19 million passengers, up 9.0% compared with the same month last year. Growth was recorded across all major markets except the Middle East, where services have remained suspended since late February due to the regional security situation.
The airline increased overall capacity by 5.1%, driven primarily by expanded North Atlantic operations, including the launch of flights to Toronto, as well as additional European destinations. Revenue passenger traffic rose 7.9%, while the passenger load factor improved by 2.2 percentage points to 84.0%.
Commercial performance also strengthened, with revenue per available seat kilometre (RASK) increasing 10.1%, supported by higher passenger loads and improved yields.
Cargo demand remained robust, with total cargo volumes rising 20.7% year-on-year and revenue cargo tonne kilometres increasing 15.9%, reflecting particularly strong growth on European, Asian and North Atlantic routes.
Operational reliability slipped slightly during the month, with 74.8% of flights arriving on time compared with 77.8% a year earlier, as adverse weather conditions across Europe affected punctuality.
Overall, June marked another solid month for Finnair, with continued growth in passenger and cargo traffic, stronger revenue performance and improving aircraft utilisation despite ongoing disruptions to Middle Eastern operations.
