Finnair carried 1.24 million passengers in July 2026, an increase of 9.3% compared with the same month last year, driven by strong demand across its European, North Atlantic and Asian networks.
The airline increased overall capacity by 3.6%, supported by new European destinations and the launch of Toronto services in May. Capacity also rose slightly on Asian routes, while domestic capacity declined due to more tag flights via Lapland to Northern Norway. Services to the Middle East remained suspended following the airline’s withdrawal from the region in late February.
Revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) grew by 6.2%, while the passenger load factor improved by 2.1 percentage points to 85.0%, with gains recorded across all operating regions.
Finnair’s cargo business also continued to perform well. Total cargo volumes increased by 13.1%, while revenue cargo tonne kilometres rose 11.4%, reflecting strong demand on European, Asian and North Atlantic routes.
Operational performance was slightly weaker, with 74.1% of flights arriving on time, down from 75.8% a year earlier, as adverse weather across Europe affected punctuality.
