Finnair will operate year-round services to Luxembourg, Valencia and Turin, extending the three routes initially announced for summer 2026 into the winter season as part of its ongoing network optimisation strategy.
Luxembourg will increase from three weekly summer flights to four weekly services in winter, reflecting strong business and transfer demand via Helsinki to Finnair’s broader network.
Valencia will maintain four weekly frequencies throughout winter, catering to leisure travellers seeking warmer city-break destinations. Turin will operate once weekly during winter, increasing to twice weekly during the peak January–March winter sports season; in summer, the route runs three times per week.
Additionally, Stavanger and Umeå—previously announced summer routes—will also continue year-round. Stavanger will see nine weekly winter services (six via Stockholm Arlanda and three direct from Helsinki, with all return flights routing via Stockholm), strengthening connectivity between Finland, Norway and Sweden. Umeå will operate 10 weekly winter services via Vaasa.
Beyond Europe, Finnair is expanding long-haul operations with new direct flights to Toronto launching in May and a new Melbourne route starting in October.
The updates reflect Finnair’s strategy to balance leisure, business and transfer traffic while enhancing seasonal reliability and network continuity.
