Finnair transported 1,094,100 passengers in June 2025, matching last year’s levels despite flight cancellations caused by industrial action. Passenger traffic rose significantly on North Atlantic and Asian routes, with added flights to U.S. and Japanese cities. European traffic saw modest growth, while Middle Eastern and domestic routes declined.
Capacity (ASK) was largely stable overall, with gains in long-haul routes offset by reductions in Middle Eastern, domestic, and European capacity. Total traffic (RPK) rose by 2.5%, and the passenger load factor improved to 81.8% (+1.9 percentage points).
Cargo volumes fell sharply, with a 16.3% drop in total tonnes and a 9.7% decline in revenue cargo tonne kilometres, mainly due to reduced activity in Europe and the Middle East.
Punctuality improved slightly, with 77.8% of flights arriving on time, up from 75.7% last year.
