Finnair will cancel around 110 flights on Monday, 19 May, due to industrial action by the Finnish Aviation Union (IAU) at Helsinki Airport, disrupting operations for approximately 14,000 passengers. The four-hour work stoppage affects critical services such as ground handling and catering, leading to widespread disruption throughout the day.
Affected customers will be notified of cancellations and automatically rebooked on alternative flights, viewable via Finnair’s website or mobile app. Travellers can also modify the new routing or request a refund for unused tickets.
Finnair advises Monday travellers to check in early, arrive at the airport on time, and carry essentials in hand luggage, as baggage handling may be disrupted.
