Finnair will cancel around 110 flights on Friday, 30 May, due to a four-hour industrial action by the Finnish Aviation Union (IAU) at Helsinki Airport. The strike, targeting key work shifts like ground handling and aircraft maintenance, is expected to impact about 8,000 passengers.
Affected customers will be offered alternative flight options via Finnair’s Manage Booking service or mobile app. They may also request a refund if they choose not to travel. Customers flying on 2 or 4 June, when similar strikes are planned, are allowed to reschedule in advance.
Finnair urges passengers to update contact details, check in early, and carry essentials in hand luggage, as baggage handling may be disrupted. The airline is working to rebook affected travellers promptly and minimise the impact.
