On 10 June 2025, ATR announced a firm order from UNI Air (a subsidiary of EVA Air) for 19 ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft, with options for three more. This is the largest ATR order since 2017 and will replace and expand UNI Air’s current fleet of 14 ATRs, with deliveries set between 2027 and 2032.
The upgraded aircraft, featuring new PW127XT engines, enhanced cabins, and improved systems, will offer better fuel efficiency, lower maintenance costs, and improved passenger experience. Operating mainly from Taipei Songshan Airport, UNI Air serves 11 domestic destinations and plays a key role in connecting Taiwan’s remote islands and communities.
Both UNI Air and ATR emphasised the strategic value of this deal in supporting sustainable, efficient regional air transport in Taiwan and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
