Etihad strengthens Brussels presence for Winter 2026/27

Etihad Airbus A321LR

As demand between Belgium and the Gulf continues to grow, Etihad Airways is adding more capacity on its Abu Dhabi–Brussels route for the Northern Winter 2026/27 season.

Beginning on 15 December 2026, the airline will increase service from seven to eleven weekly flights, adding four extra frequencies operated by the Airbus A321LR. The additional flights, EY055/056, will operate three times weekly, departing Abu Dhabi at 14:25 and arriving in Brussels at 19:00, before returning from the Belgian capital at 20:50 for an early morning arrival in Abu Dhabi.

The existing daily Boeing 777-300ER service, operating as EY057/058, will remain unchanged, continuing to provide year-round widebody capacity on the route.

The move marks a significant development for Brussels Airport, where Etihad is complementing its traditional long-haul Boeing 777 operation with the new-generation A321LR. The aircraft’s premium-heavy configuration and long-range capabilities allow the carrier to add frequencies and offer passengers greater schedule flexibility while more closely matching capacity to market demand.

With eleven weekly flights from mid-December, Brussels joins a growing list of European destinations seeing increased Etihad capacity as the Abu Dhabi-based carrier continues to expand its network and strengthen connectivity through its home hub.
