Etihad Airways will launch the first-ever nonstop service between the Middle East and Calgary on 3 November 2026, creating a new long-haul link between Abu Dhabi and Western Canada. Operated four times weekly with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the route strengthens Etihad’s global expansion while supporting Abu Dhabi’s ambitions to boost trade, tourism and investment.
The new service connects two major centres of energy, innovation and culture, enhancing opportunities for business travel and economic collaboration. It also opens new leisure options, giving Canadian travellers direct access to Abu Dhabi and providing passengers from the UAE and Etihad’s global network seamless access to Calgary and the Canadian Rockies.
Calgary becomes Etihad’s latest long-haul destination, complementing its growing North American network, which already includes Toronto, New York and Chicago, with Charlotte launching soon. Flights are now on sale, further reinforcing Etihad’s strategy of opening new markets with strong economic and tourism potential.
