Etihad Airways will begin direct flights to Charlotte, North Carolina, on 4 May 2026, marking it as the first airline from the region to serve the city. The new route will operate four times weekly using Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Charlotte becomes Etihad’s sixth U.S. destination, joining New York, Chicago, Washington, Boston, and the upcoming Atlanta route (launching 2 July). The move strengthens U.S.-UAE connectivity and offers convenient links to Etihad’s wider global network.
The route is aimed at both business and leisure travellers, with U.S. Preclearance at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport allowing passengers to arrive in Charlotte as domestic travellers. Tickets are now available at etihad.com.
