Etihad Airways has achieved a major milestone, now operating 300 scheduled passenger flights per day. The achievement marks an over 20% year-on-year increase in daily operations, reflecting strong global demand and the airline’s sustained growth momentum.

With a fleet of 115 aircraft serving nearly 90 destinations, Etihad continues to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global aviation hub and one of the world’s most connected cities.

“This milestone reflects one of the fastest growth trajectories in the global airline industry,” said Captain Majed Al Marzouqi, Chief Operations and Guest Officer at Etihad Airways. “It’s made possible by the dedication of our people and the trust of our guests. We are expanding our destinations, fleet, and workforce, all toward our goal of making Etihad the airline everyone wants to fly.”

Expanding in Every Dimension

Etihad’s growth spans every part of its business — operations, network, and guest experience.

In September 2025, the airline carried 1.9 million passengers, a 21% increase compared with the same month last year, maintaining a strong 89% load factor. In the first nine months of 2025, Etihad flew 16.1 million passengers, up 18% year-on-year, showing sustained demand and efficient network deployment.

The airline also continues to record high customer satisfaction and a strong Net Promoter Score, reflecting its ability to maintain exceptional service standards while growing. Continuous enhancements to airport services, digital platforms, and onboard products underscore Etihad’s commitment to world-class hospitality and seamless travel.

Network and Fleet Expansion

Etihad’s 300-flight milestone follows one of its most ambitious years of expansion. In September, network capacity increased by 25% year-on-year, with 31 new destinations launched or announced in 2025, including Medan, Phnom Penh, Addis Ababa, and Krabi. Europe has been a key growth market, with flights up 35% this summer compared with last year.

The airline’s operating fleet has grown to 115 aircraft, up from 96 a year ago, including new Airbus A350s, Boeing 787 Dreamliners, the return of two A380s, and new A321LRs equipped with private First Suites and lie-flat Business Class seats — setting a new benchmark for premium narrow-body travel.

Etihad’s Gateway to Growth

Etihad’s expansion is supported by Zayed International Airport (ZIA), its state-of-the-art home base. Designed to handle 45 million passengers annually across 65 gates, ZIA enables efficient operations and quick processing — with passengers able to move from kerb to gate in as little as 12 minutes. Modern lounges, premium facilities, and biometric systems ensure a smooth and elevated travel experience.

Powered by People

Etihad’s growth is driven by its dedicated workforce. The airline welcomed 1,700 new employees in the first half of 2025, including over 100 pilots and 1,000 cabin crew, while 1,100 team members were promoted.

As part of its UAE National Talent Strategy, Etihad is also investing in the next generation of Emirati aviation professionals — from pilots and engineers to managers and executives — with plans to double its Emirati workforce within five years.

With record growth, global expansion, and a focus on people and service, Etihad Airways is cementing its position as one of the world’s most dynamic and forward-looking airlines — connecting people and possibilities across nearly every continent.
