Emirates wins fifth freedom rights to fly from Barcelona to Mexico City

Share

Emirates has won the right to operate a fifth freedom flight between Barcelona and Mexico City, probably because no other airline is currently linking the two cities. Currently, the quickest way between the two cities is on Iberia via Madrid.

This is the first time that the Middle East will be connected to Mexico. The new daily service will be operated by a Boeing 777, taking around 14 hours and 50 minutes between Barcelona and Mexico City as a continuation of the flight from Dubai.

The return flight from Mexico will operate directly towards Dubai.

It is not yet known when the triangular flights will start.
