Emirates has launched what it describes as the world’s most comprehensive airline travel insurance product, combining expanded insurance protection with direct operational support from the airline during travel disruptions.
Developed in partnership with Travel Guard, the new Comprehensive Travel Cover includes traditional benefits such as trip cancellation, baggage delay or loss compensation, unlimited medical expenses, and emergency evacuation coverage. It also introduces conflict-related protection, covering up to US$25,000 in medical expenses and allowing travellers to extend their trip by up to 30 days at no extra cost.
A key differentiator is Emirates’ commitment to provide practical assistance during disruptions. The airline will arrange hotel accommodation and extended-stay support in situations such as airspace closures, and will rebook passengers on alternative airlines at no additional charge when Emirates flights are unavailable or cancelled due to conflict-related events.
The coverage remains valid regardless of government travel advisories, addressing a gap that Emirates says customers have identified amid continued strong demand for international travel.
Available immediately through Emirates’ booking channels, the insurance can be purchased by customers in 29 markets, including Belgium, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and Singapore. Emirates says the product is designed to give travellers greater confidence and flexibility when planning journeys through its global network.
