Emirates SkyCargo has become the first airline cargo division to deploy the Boeing 777-300ERSF, a passenger-to-freighter converted aircraft, marking a key milestone in its fleet expansion strategy.
The first aircraft, registered A6-EBK, entered commercial service with a debut flight from Hong Kong to Dubai, carrying more than 100 tonnes of cargo. The converted freighter offers around 25% more cargo volume than the standard Boeing 777F, with capacity for bulky, e-commerce-heavy shipments.
The aircraft is the sixth freighter added to Emirates SkyCargo’s fleet since March 2026, alongside new Boeing 777F production freighters. Emirates plans continued expansion, including additional 777F deliveries and further converted 777-300ERSF aircraft through 2026 and 2027.
According to Emirates SkyCargo leadership, the programme is intended to increase fleet flexibility, scale network capacity, and support growing global demand for air freight—particularly e-commerce logistics—while strengthening its hub-and-spoke model via Dubai.
