Emirates restores 96% of global network, boosts connectivity and loyalty benefits

Share

Emirates has restored 96% of its global network following recent disruptions, marking a near return to full operations and reinforcing Dubai as a major international aviation hub.

The airline now serves 137 destinations across 72 countries with more than 1,300 weekly flights—equivalent to around 75% of its pre-disruption capacity. Despite operating a reduced schedule during the disruption period, Emirates carried 4.7 million passengers, underscoring resilient travel demand.

To support recovery and stimulate demand, Emirates is introducing enhanced customer incentives. From May 8 to August 31, 2026, members of its Emirates Skywards programme can benefit from reduced tier requirements and bonus Tier Miles on both Emirates and flydubai flights, accelerating access to elite status.

The airline is also emphasising flexibility and passenger experience. New booking policies include one free date change and 24-hour fare holds, while its Dubai Connect programme offers complimentary stopovers—including hotel stays and transfers—for eligible transit passengers.

Onboard, Emirates continues to highlight its premium offering, with multi-course dining, its “ice” entertainment platform featuring over 6,500 channels, and expanding high-speed connectivity via Starlink-equipped aircraft.

Regionally, the airline is maintaining strong connectivity across key markets, including multiple daily and weekly services to South Africa and a daily route to Nairobi, supporting both long-haul and regional travel demand.

Overall, Emirates is positioning its operational recovery alongside enhanced customer benefits and product investment as it moves toward full capacity restoration.
