Emirates launches daily flights to Hangzhou, expanding China network to five cities

Share

Emirates has launched a new daily service to Hangzhou, marking its fifth gateway in mainland China and second new Chinese destination in less than a month, after Shenzhen. The inaugural flight EK310 landed on 30 July to a ceremonial welcome at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport.

The route is operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, offering 8 First, 42 Business, and 304 Economy Class seats, along with up to 16 tonnes of cargo capacity. Passengers enjoy regionally inspired Chinese meals and Emirates’ award-winning ICE entertainment system, including over 6,500 channels.

This expansion brings Emirates’ total to 49 weekly flights across Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and now Hangzhou, enhancing passenger and cargo connectivity between China, the Middle East, and beyond. The new route also supports cross-border e-commerce via Hangzhou’s advanced logistics ecosystem and connects to 40 cities in Europe, 21 in Africa, and more through Dubai.

Emirates has introduced its complimentary chauffeur-drive service for First and Business Class passengers in Hangzhou, now available in over 70 cities worldwide.

The launch reflects Emirates’ long-term commitment to China’s aviation, trade, and tourism sectors, backed by partnerships with local airlines and cultural institutions.
