This winter, easyJet will be expanding its route network by adding six new flight destinations from Schönefeld and Tegel to its flight schedule. The new routes offer travel lovers a diverse mix of sun and winter destinations, as well as city breaks. New this winter is the connection from Berlin-Schönefeld to Marrakesh. From the end of October, the cities of Brussels and Nantes as well as the holiday destinations and regions Marsa Alam, Madeira and Åre Östersund will be served by easyJet from Berlin-Tegel. In addition to these new connections, the 2019/2020 winter flight schedule will also resume the popular routes to the holiday destinations Hurghada, Aqaba, Lanzarote and Las Palmas.
If you want to escape the wintery temperatures in Germany, then we recommend Marsa Alam, Marrakesh and the island of Madeira. Starting 2 November, easyJet will be flying to Marsa Alam in Egypt once per week (on Saturdays). The tranquil coastal town on the Red Sea is an ideal starting point for extensive diving and snorkelling thanks to its magnificent coral reefs and unique underwater world.
Also on 2 November, the British airline will be flying twice a week (on Wednesdays and Saturdays) to Funchal, the capital of the Portuguese island of Madeira. The island in the Atlantic Ocean is nicknamed the Flower Island for a reason. Steep coastlines, charming landscapes and unique flora and fauna make this is a paradise for nature lovers.
The Moroccan city of Marrakesh, which will be flown to twice a week (every Tuesday and Saturday) from 5 November, will mesmerise you with its unique mix of a lively metropolis and the magic of the East from 1001 Nights. The colourful hustle and bustle of the traditional souks is a feast for all senses: handmade leather goods, rugs, aromas and spices entice visitors to the stands.
Winter sports fans will not miss out either. From 15 December, easyJet will be flying to Åre Östersund once a week (on Sundays). The Östersund ski resort is not far from the airport. Whether cross-country skiing, biathlon or ice skating – the Swedish skiing region is a true paradise for all winter sports enthusiasts.
City trippers can also get their money’s worth with the new year-round connections to Brussels and Nantes. Starting from 28 October, easyJet will be connecting Berlin to Brussels daily. The Belgian capital in the heart of Europe is ideal for business travel and city tours. With its numerous sights, museums and the location of various EU institutions, Brussels unites political life, art and culture like no other city in Europe.
easyJet will also be flying twice a week (on Mondays and Fridays) to Nantes in the west of France from 28 October. The dynamic port city in French Brittany will captivate you with a mix of modern culture and breathtaking nature. Imposing castles, idyllic little villages and romantic vineyards in the Loire Valley are the perfect destinations in the area – and not just for wine lovers.
