easyJet will offer onboard internet access for the first time through a partnership with SpaceX’s Starlink, with installations starting in the first half of 2027.
The airline plans to equip its Airbus A320, A320neo and A321neo aircraft, with the rollout expected to be completed by early 2028. Passengers will be able to use their own devices to stream content, play online games, browse and work during flights.
Connectivity will also provide access to easyJet’s app and website, alongside destination information. The airline said the technology could support future onboard food and drink ordering, although it has not announced a launch date for that feature.
Chief executive Kenton Jarvis said the investment is intended to improve the experience for both leisure and business travellers by offering more onboard services.
easyJet has not disclosed pricing, whether access will be complimentary, or which aircraft and routes will receive the service first.
