easyJet brought Eurovision fever to 35,000 feet with a glitter-filled celebration flight to Basel, the 2025 host city. As the Official Airline of the Eurovision Song Contest, easyJet flew 75 superfans for free from London Gatwick, treating them to the ultimate airborne party.
The in-flight highlight? The Sky High Orange Runway, a talent show judged mid-air by the fans themselves and hosted by Drag Race UK winner Ginger Johnson. Performances ranged from Irish dancing to disco classics, with Elaine Mc Adam (Ireland) taking the crown for her “Mamma Mia” rendition.
Before takeoff, fans enjoyed a Eurovision-themed check-in, exclusive goodie bags, and photo ops. Onboard, it was all about singalongs, giveaways, and full Eurovision energy.
Once in Basel, fans were greeted by Eurovision mascot Lumo, as the city gears up for the semi-finals and Grand Final (13, 15, 17 May). easyJet, Basel’s largest airline, is boosting capacity with 6,000 extra seats and will fly over 47,000 Eurovision visitors into EuroAirport this year.
A sky-high kickoff to Eurovision 2025 — fanfare, fandom, and a full cabin of Douze Points!
