Two easyJet aircraft clipped wingtips while taxiing at Manchester Airport around 06:30 BST, briefly halting operations. The Paris- and Gibraltar-bound flights (U2-2117 and U2-2267) returned to their stand for inspections, with passengers disembarking safely and given refreshment vouchers.
Emergency crews attended, but damage was minor and no injuries were reported. Replacement aircraft were being arranged, causing delays for both departing and inbound passengers, including those waiting in Paris.
easyJet apologised for the disruption, stressing that passenger and crew safety remains its top priority.
