easyJet has announced 13 new winter routes from eight UK airports, expanding its network across Europe, North Africa and the Nordic region while strengthening regional connectivity.
The new services include routes from London Luton to Kittilä and Strasbourg, London Southend to Edinburgh, Birmingham to Copenhagen, Manchester to Cairo, Liverpool to Reykjavik and Kittilä, Newcastle to Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Hurghada and Rovaniemi, and Newquay to Geneva.
Among the highlights, easyJet will become the only airline operating a direct service between Manchester and Cairo via Sphinx Airport, providing convenient access to the Pyramids of Giza and western Cairo. The airline is also launching its first-ever international route from Cornwall Airport Newquay, with seasonal flights to Geneva beginning in January 2027.
The expansion is particularly significant at Newcastle International Airport, where easyJet is adding five new routes. Since opening its Newcastle base in March 2026, the airline has quadrupled its network there, growing to 31 destinations.
The new routes offer a mix of winter sun destinations such as Hurghada and Cairo, city-break destinations including Berlin, Copenhagen and Strasbourg, as well as winter sports gateways such as Kittilä, Rovaniemi and Geneva.
The announcement forms part of easyJet’s broader growth strategy as it prepares to carry more than 50 million passengers during the summer season and continues to position itself as a key provider of regional air connectivity across the UK.
