On 13 February, a Delta Air Lines Embraer ERJ-175LR (N613CZ) operating flight DL5763 from Orange County to Seattle encountered severe turbulence forcing the pilots to divert to Reno.
The passenger who was able to shoot a video (see below) said that the aircraft made two separate nose dives. One flight attendant hit the ceiling and broke her arm. In total, five people got injured. After landing at Reno Airport, three people were transported to local hospitals. Pizza and soda was provided for the stranded passengers.
Footage that appeared on social media show a tossed trolley and a cabin in disorder.
The flight was operated by Compass Airlines as a Delta Connection flight.
