On 1 October, a Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-300 (N180DN) aborted its take-off on runway 13R at New York JFK airport as the pilots reported a landing gear fire. The 767 was operating flight DL420 to Accra, Ghana. Multiple tyres have blown, firefighters extinguished the fire and assisted passengers with deboarding. No injures have been reported. The flight was later cancelled.

Working for 25 years in the aviation industry, I changed my career and became a firefighter/EMT in 2021. I like to spend my free time with my two sons, girlfriend, family and friends. I love to travel, wine and dine and support my favourite football squad KV Mechelen. Once an Ironman 70.3 finisher and dreaming of completing a full distance.
