Delta Air Lines has launched two new nonstop international routes from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, adding seasonal services to Rome and Barcelona.
The Barcelona route marks the first-ever nonstop service between Seattle and Spain. Delta becomes the airport’s first airline to operate the route, while its Rome service makes it the second carrier serving the Italian capital from Seattle.
Both routes are operated using Airbus A330-900 aircraft. Flights to Barcelona operate three times weekly, while Rome flights operate four times weekly.
Port of Seattle officials said the additions strengthen Seattle’s role as an international gateway and expand access to Southern Europe for both leisure and business travel. Delta described the new routes as part of its continued investment in Seattle as a global hub.
With the two additions, SEA now offers 60 international services to 37 destinations on 29 airlines, surpassing pre-pandemic international connectivity levels. The airport has also added new international routes in 2026 from Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong and from Alaska Airlines to Rome, with upcoming Alaska launches to London and Reykjavik later this month.
Delta already operates international services from Seattle to destinations including Amsterdam, London, Paris, Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei and Tokyo-Haneda.
