Delta Air Lines will launch a new daily nonstop service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Tokyo Narita (NRT) on 27 March 2027, further strengthening its Seattle hub and expanding travel options between the United States and Japan.
The route will complement Delta’s existing Seattle–Tokyo Haneda (HND) service, making Seattle the airline’s first U.S. gateway with nonstop flights to both of Tokyo’s international airports. The new service will be operated by an Airbus A330-900neo, featuring Delta One, Premium Select, Comfort and Main Cabin products.
Delta said the addition reflects strong demand for travel to Japan and reinforces Seattle’s position as its primary Pacific gateway. Beyond serving the Pacific Northwest, the route will provide convenient one-stop access to Tokyo for passengers connecting from Delta’s extensive domestic network.
The airline also highlighted the benefits of its joint venture with Korean Air, which offers onward connections via Seoul Incheon to 15 destinations across Japan, including Osaka and Sapporo. Tokyo Narita’s extensive cargo infrastructure will also boost Delta Cargo’s trans-Pacific freight capacity.
From Seattle, Delta now operates more than 160 peak-day departures to over 62 destinations, including recently launched services to Barcelona and Rome, as it continues to expand its international presence at the airport.
